During the summer, the pool is the place to be at Boys & Girls Clubs of North County! Thanks to incredible community partnerships, Club members enjoyed a summer filled with fun and learning!
Fallbrook Regional Health District made waves this summer by sponsoring the Club’s Water Safety Program. Not only does the Club help kids learn to swim, but they also learn to be lifesavers, learning how to rescue their friends in case of a water emergency. Young children are at the highest risk of drowning and must learn Water Safety, especially since many young Club members live in apartments with unguarded swimming pools. By the end of the summer, even our youngest learners from the Child Development Center (ages 3 to 4) are joyfully paddling around and have learned Water Safety thanks to the Fallbrook Regional Health District!
But that’s just the beginning! The Club’s partnership with Cal State San Marcos School of Nursing ensured Club members had fun and stayed healthy with essential health services and education all summer.
Ingold Clubhouse was one of the sites Fallbrook Union Elementary School District (FUESD) Child Nutrition Services used to provide nutritious and well-balanced meals to Fallbrook children. Children did not have to be Club members to partake in the meals. In addition to supporting Healthy Habits, FUESD Child Nutrition Services had the children taste test potential meals for the upcoming school year…YUM!
The North County Fire Protection Department visited the Club this summer and taught the Club kids about fire safety. Then, the firefighters showered the kids with fire hoses on the baseball fields. Everyone had a blast!
In partnership with FUESD, the Club provided wrap-around services for Migrant Education this summer and taught the participants how to swim! These kids enjoyed learning how to swim and playing in the pool—a first for many of them!
Vision to Learn partnered with the Club to provide free eye exams for the Club kids and provided free prescription glasses to five kids! What a great way to start the new school year!
Local Boy Scout Tim Howard partnered with the Teen Center for his Eagle Scout Project. Tim met with staff and planned a sitting area and garden beds for the Teen Center. Tim fundraised for the supplies, including lumber, soil, paint, and the like, and this summer, Tim and a group of volunteers built everything! The Teens are so very grateful, way to go Tim!
For over 60 years, Boys & Girls Clubs of North County has been the ultimate hangout for kids, offering smiles, friendships, enriching programs, and loving staff. The Club proudly serves over 2,500 kids across nine Fallbrook, Bonsall, and Rainbow locations! Fundraisers such as the upcoming Golf Tournament, North County Cup presented by the Lucy Families, on October 3, 2025, at Journey at Pechanga Casino & Resort, help the Club provide financial scholarships and programs to local Fallbrook Club kids.
