Boys & Girls Clubs of North County is proud to announce the establishment of a brand-new teen center, dedicated to providing a safe and enriching space for teenagers in our community. With the purchase of the building at 205 W Alvarado, the Club’s administrative offices will move, opening the current administrative building on 445 E Ivy Street to be the location of the interim teen center. In the future the Club plans on building a stand-alone teen center and will begin a capital campaign to accomplish this goal. Meanwhile, the interim teen center is slated to open in the Summer of 2024, and marks a significant advancement in supporting the growth and future of the Club while acknowledging the tremendous support from valued donors.
The Boys & Girls Clubs of North County has long been committed to empowering young people, offering a range of programs and services that promote academic success, healthy lifestyles, and character development. With the creation of the teen center, the Club is now able to specifically cater to the unique needs and interests of high school teenagers, ensuring they have a dedicated place to call their own.
The teen center will provide an environment tailored to the needs and aspirations of adolescents, equipped with robust technology resources, and engaging programming that encourages personal growth and fosters a sense of belonging. This new initiative not only extends our reach, but also reinforces our dedication to the youth of this community, who are at a pivotal stage in their lives.
“We are thrilled to introduce the teen center as the latest addition to our family of programs at Boys & Girls Clubs of North County,” said Allison Barclay, CEO & President of Boys & Girls Clubs of North County. “This teen center will be a place where teenagers can explore their passions, develop critical skills, and build relationships with their peers, all under the guidance and support of caring and inspiring mentors.”
The establishment of the teen center would not be possible without the unwavering support of the Club’s generous donors. Their dedication to investing in the future of North County’s youth has made this vision a reality. Through their philanthropic contributions, the Club has been able to secure the necessary resources to create a space that empowers the next generation, unlocking their potential and opening doors to endless possibilities.
“We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the individuals, businesses, and philanthropic organizations that have shown their support by contributing to the development of the teen center,” said Maureen Sullivan, VP of Development at Boys & Girls Clubs of North County. “Their commitment to empowering youth has made a significant impact on improving the lives of countless young people in our community.”
The Boys & Girls Clubs of North County remains committed to meeting the evolving needs of the youth they serve. By providing a teen center, the Club is laying the foundation for a stronger and more vibrant future for the Fallbrook community. Boys & Girls Clubs of North County would like to invite the public to join them as they celebrate this exciting chapter and continue to make a difference in the lives of local teens.
