Jessica has a quiet glow about her that draws kids and adults to her. Born in Encinitas and raised in Fallbrook, Jessica, and her family love to spend time together and watch movies.
A graduate of Fallbrook High, she is currently attending Palomar College where she is studying psychology. This month she is graduating with an associate in general studies with an emphasis on social and behavioral sciences. Jessica is then transferring to Cal State University San Marcos! Congratulations Jessica!
Jessica has been with the Boys and Girls Clubs of North County for three years. Currently, she is the kindergarten staff at William H. Frazier Elementary School, and she is also a lifeguard and swim instructor during the summer.
Jessica loves being able to help each child grow into the best version of themselves. She loves to help children express confidence especially since she struggled with this growing up. Jessica enjoys making Club kids happy whether it be by getting messy with slime or simply sitting down and talking about their day. She likes that the Club offers many opportunities and programs all year round, such as Healthy Habits, Torch Club, field trip opportunities, and sports activities.
One of Jessica’s favorite Club memories is dressing up as the Grinch Who Stole Christmas last year. She really enjoyed the kids’ and staff’s reactions! A few of the younger kids were a little scared until they realized it was Jessica under the costume. Parents got a chuckle when the Grinch came out to assist with checkout time!
Some things you may not know about Jessica… when she was little, she really wanted a dimple in her left cheek and used to poke her cheek with a pencil to form a dimple. She can eat an entire watermelon by herself, and she loves collecting Mexican miniature kitchen pottery.
