Part-Time Lifeguards
Seeking lifeguards for summer swim lessons and guarding open swim time at Boys & Girls Clubs of North County, located in Fallbrook. Must be dependable, good with children, and able to provide excellent supervision and safety for youth at all times. Pool will be open weekdays from June 5th to August 4th. May be some opportunity for after-school swim hours through August and September. Current lifeguard certification preferred, but we may provide training. Background check required.
Salary Range: $16.00 to $18.00/hour
Part-Time Youth Development Professional
Job Description: The Youth Development Professional (YDP) works with our Club members in our before and after school programs. The YDP plans, implements and supervises activities with elementary school aged youth or teens on a daily basis. Activities must be designed to meet the needs and interests of all kids within the Five Core Program Areas of Boys & Girls Clubs: Education and Career Development; Character and Leadership Development; Health and Life Skills; The Arts; and Sports, Fitness and Recreation. YDPs create a positive environment for youth, providing informal guidance and role modeling. YDPs ensure a healthy and safe environment for youth and a productive work environment for all staff. YDPs assist in tracking attendance, participation and other metrics, as required.
Skills Needed: Must be professional, organized, active and flexible. Must be self-directed and able to manage multiple priorities. Must have outstanding communication and customer service skills. Must have a professional appearance.
Minimum Qualifications: Must be 18 or older and a high-school graduate. Must have at least one year of experience working with youth. Must be proficient with multiple computer applications. Bi-lingual a plus. Criminal background check and drug screen required.
Work Schedule: After school hours approximately 2-6 p.m. Monday-Friday, depending on work site. Some morning program positions available: 6:30-8:30 a.m. Monday-Friday.
Salary Range: $15.50 to $17.00/hour
